Abortion also goes against a man's instinct to protect and provide. In some cases the father of the baby may not want an abortion (or even know about the abortion before it happens). Abortion is the woman's choice, and legally, men can not have a say in the decision.
However, many men may be involved in pressuring a woman to have an abortion. In either case, a man (or family member involved in the abortion decision) may experience Post Abortion Syndrome.
Men may use denial to block grieving the death of their child. It can result in anger, anxiety, and errors in judgement--affecting future relationships with women, children, and others. In addition, abortion may affect grandparents, siblings, and other relatives involved.
